This document sets out the terms and conditions of joining the National Federation of Self-Employed and Small Businesses Limited (“FSB”, “We” or “Us”).
These terms and conditions are subject to variation from time to time. Variations will be notified on our website - www.fsb.org.uk - and the latest version of these terms and conditions will be available there. Your membership will be deemed to have been renewed on the current version of the terms and conditions at the time of renewal.
By joining FSB you will meet and be introduced to other members who offer products and services which may be of use to you. If you purchase any product or take any advice or assistance from an affiliate or member of FSB, this will be an arrangement purely between yourself and the other party. FSB does not act as agent to introduce services and does not accept any liability for products sold or advice or assistance given by one member or affiliate to another on any matter whatsoever.
Your membership of FSB enables you to access various services including Big Voice, FSB First Voice, FSB Legal Hub, FSB Legal Protection, FSB Care, FSB Lobbying, FSB Networking, FSB PR / Crisis Management and FSB Tax Investigation Protection. These services are available to all FSB members, unless specifically excluded at the time of joining but may vary from time to time.
FSB reserves the right to amend, withdraw or add to the right of membership services and such alteration shall not give rise to any liability to refund membership fees paid.
FSB may provide access and introduction to additional services but does not act as agent to introduce members to these service providers and does not accept any liability for products or services provided by these service providers to members. If members choose to use these services, the arrangement is between the member and the service provider.
Upon acceptance of your application, the date of joining FSB will be the date of submission of your application, and future subscriptions will be due on this date each year. Subscriptions fees are reviewed annually and the current fees are provided on FSB’s website. By submitting an application form online, you are deemed to have signed the application form.
The level of subscription depends on the number of employees that you have in your business(es) for which you are seeking to use the benefit of the services which you receive as a right of membership. If the number of employees varies from year to year you need to contact Customer Services at head office to advise them of the change to ensure that you are paying the correct membership fee from the next renewal date. If you do not do so FSB reserves the right to withdraw the benefit of those services which you would receive as a right of membership. If you provide false or misleading information the benefits to which you would normally be entitled as a member will be withdrawn.
You may resign from FSB at any time in writing to: Customer Services, FSB, Sir Frank Whittle Way, Blackpool, FY4 2FE; or email [email protected]. Please note that only written resignations can be accepted.
For paid subscriptions, refunds (either in whole or in part) will only be made if resignation is received up to a maximum of 28 days after the due subscription has been paid.
Joining FSB is on a personal basis. There is no facility for corporate membership.
FSB does not accept liability for any advice given to affiliates or members either by other affiliates or members of FSB employees or anyone purporting to act on behalf of FSB. Any advice provided to affiliates or members is intended as initial guidance only and should not be relied upon or acted upon as substantive advice by the third party, who should seek appropriate independent professional advice according to the nature of their problem.
Within 14 days of completing your application you will be contacted by one of our personnel with further details of our benefits. Should you not wish to be contacted please contact Customer Services by email [email protected] or telephone 0808 20 20 888.
FSB reserves the right to refuse any application to join.
On cancellation taking effect, or on other termination, the benefits of the joining package will cease and you will not be entitled to the benefit of any part of the package which was due to be provided or fulfilled after the date of such cancellation/termination.
