From legal support to local connections, Craig Lynch, Managing Director of Durham Soft Play Ltd, shares his experience of FSB membership since joining in 2020.
With an extensive background in the licensed trade and running his own businesses, Craig Lynch joined FSB in 2020 when he started his newest venture, Durham Soft Play Ltd. Faced with the challenges of ever-changing COVID restrictions, Craig shares how the support from FSB has been ‘invaluable’.
How has FSB helped your business?
FSB’s connections with the council were invaluable when I joined. We had an ongoing issue, but we weren’t getting anywhere, so it was a relief when an FSB representative was able to go straight to the top for us and resolve the matter.
Tell us about your experience with the legal helpline.
It was a discussion with my local Membership Advisor, Howard Little, that reminded me about the legal advice line. Booking a call back with the legal team through the FSB app was easy and I was able to get the information I needed just a few hours later. It was a brilliant experience.
Have you attended any networking events?
I have been to a couple of events and webinars and I’d like to attend more. I’ve made great connections with local business owners at the events I’ve attended so far.
Would you recommend FSB to other small businesses owners?
Yes, and I have done! As restrictions have eased, we’re now looking to expand and diversify the business to attract a wider demographic and I’m glad to have FSB’s support.
