FSB Member Stories: Ruth McEwan-Lyon, NI Silver

FSB Member Story 22 May 2023

Northern Irish jewellery designer Ruth McEwan-Lyon invited us into her workshop where she runs jewellery making experiences where people can create a ‘wee piece of home’.

Ruth McEwan-Lyon is the owner of NI Silver, based just outside Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland. NI Silver is a jewellery design business producing mini 3D images of local iconic landmarks, bridges and architecture from around Northern Ireland into stylish silver and gold jewellery. In addition to the commercial range of jewellery and bespoke commissions, Ruth also helps beginners to learn the traditional skills of jewellery making.

"I think having FSB behind me as a micro-business makes me relaxed as I know they have my back and are there if I need them, and knowing they are there for me provides peace of mind," says Ruth.
