Welcome to our Monthly Update for June, halfway through the year already and plenty to share with you this month so keep reading to find out more!

Welcome to the South Wales news section of our FSB Wales webpage, which contains news and articles from across South, West and Mid Wales.

Last month, it was good to be out and about at the Mid Wales Business Conference in Aberystwyth. This month we are looking forward to our in-person meeting for small businesses with the Leader of Swansea Council, and to our regular pan Wales Virtual Networking sessions.

Upcoming Events:

We continue to get really positive feedback on all of our FSB Wales events so please come and join us and connect with other businesses throughout Wales and the rest of the UK. All events are open to members and non-members, book your place now and feel free to bring along a colleague too!

Our Wales Virtual Networking events provide the opportunity for you to meet other business owners and expand your network. Come and be part of our wonderful virtual community. Give your perfect elevator pitch and introduce yourself and your business and share important business skills with others.

Small Business Meeting with Leader of Swansea Council, Thursday 6 June, 5.30pm – 8.00pm : Small businesses have a right to know what is going on in their area and this is an opportunity for businesses in Swansea to network with each other and to hear from the leader of Swansea Council. There will also be the chance to partake in a Q&A session at this FREE event.

Wales Small Business Dinner 2023, Wednesday 14 June, 6.30pm – 10.30pm : Join us at our Wales Small Business Dinner 2023, an event that promises to be an inspiring and insightful occasion for all. The theme of this year’s event is ‘International Wales’, aiming to highlight the global reach of Welsh small businesses. Stephen Davies, Chief Executive Officer of Penderyn Whisky, will be the keynote speaker, sharing his insights and the story of how Penderyn has become an internationally-recognised name.

Pembrokeshire Drop-In Business Support, Friday 23 June, 9am – 12pm : Organised by Pembrokeshire County Council and the Haven Waterway Enterprise Zone Board’s Business Interaction Group, a range of business support organisations and professionals will be available at the monthly drop in session at Bridge Innovation Centre, Pembroke Dock.
