In-person event providing business support and networking to raise awareness during menopause awareness month.

One in three women are entrepreneurs. 51% take time off and lose customers and money through menopause. 32% sell their businesses through menopause.

This event will provide experiences and support to female entrepreneurs. It will raise awareness of menopause and businesswomen; speakers will share their experiences, and information on how Adelle Martin is lobbying government on the issues.

This event will be hosted by Adelle Martin, founder of The Menopause Resilience Club™ and will feature talks from Elizabeth Carr-Ellis of Hello Magazine and Lynne Parker of Funny Women, as well as businesswomen who will share their stories of balancing a business through menopause. There will also be a comedy show from Debbie Basden of The Menopause Party.

Member tickets for this event are £15 and non-member tickets are £20. Refreshments will be provided.

Adelle Martin - The Menopause Resilience Club™

At 40, Adelle Martin suffered an early menopause and breakdown, threatening to derail her 22-year career in business and finance. Twelve years on, she is now an accredited menopause coach, personal trainer, speaker and campaigner, teaching women how to boost their well-being and build their business through her unique Menopause Resilience System™ delivered through The Menopause Resilience Club™ 

Elizabeth Carr-Ellis - 50Sense.net

Elizabeth Carr-Ellis, menopause campaigner, is an educator, journalist, editor, campaigner and writer whose own experience of menopause spurred her on to write 50Sense.net – a guide to help women through this time of life. She also created and co-founded the Pausitivity #KnowYourMenopause campaign, calling for public health education on menopause, and has been praised in Westminster and Holyrood parliaments, as well as being a key speaker to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Menopause and appearing on national and international press.

Debbie Baisden - Menopause Party

Debbie Baisden is a menopause campaigner, comedian and Pub Landlady on and off stage. With her alter ego Dolly Slatemen she is determined to achieve her long-forgotten ambition of performing, she has used her menopause to motivate her comical alter ego on stage. Not only to achieve her ambition but to also motivate others in achieving there’s. Passionate about female health, Debbie also offers workshops to get the menopause conversation going. By telling her own story in a relatable way, she encourages others to think about the opportunities in their workplace to create supportive environments for menopausal staff.

Lynne Parker - Funny Women

Lynne Parker is an award-winning producer who created Funny Women 20 years ago, now a leading not for profit community for female comedy empowering women to perform, write and do business with humour. The acclaimed Funny Women Awards have changed the face of comedy bringing attention to some of today’s biggest names in comedy from performers to writers including Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe, Sarah Millican, Susan Calman, London Hughes and many more. The 2022 Awards are in progress and culminate with a gala final at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London on Thursday 29th September which will also celebrate Funny Women’s 20th anniversary. In addition to producing and developing comedy, Lynne is a renowned performance coach encouraging people in business and public life to 'Stand Up to Stand Out'. Using techniques based on comedy, Lynne and her team of experts have developed workshops and events under the HERlarious brand to improve self-confidence, develop presentation skills and build teams through humour. Her work empowers many women both professionally and personally to have a voice.
