The power of networking in Lancashire & Cumbria

Local News 26 Apr 2023

FSB Lancashire & Cumbria are out and about at local events so come say hello! We know how powerful networking in the community can be for small businesses.

Networking really matters to small businesses. Connecting with fellow business owners, sharing ideas and building relationships that can all lead to those all-important referrals. As the weather improves, we’re loving getting out and about meeting members and colleagues in person and expo season is well and truly upon us.

On Wednesday 26 April we are at the fabulous LoveLocal Expo at Impact Conferencing in Burnley, organised by Rachel Kay, founder of LoveLocal Networking. A powerhouse of networking, she brings businesses together at both evening and breakfast events in local venues showcasing the very best of Lancashire businesses.

Rachel also brings her inimitable talents as a connector and facilitator to the FSB as our Area Lead for Lancashire. If you’re coming along, be sure to come and find us, Claire Driver, Development Manager for Lancashire and Cumbria will be there with Alan Hughes, one of our Membership Advisors.

On Friday 12 May we’ll be heading to the Blackpool Business Expo, brought to us by Nichola Howard and the team at LaunchNW.  A great way to connect, meet fellow businesses and support organisations like the FSB, it’s another opportunity to meet Claire and this time, Tom Coleman, our membership advisor for the Fylde Coast.

We experienced just how much our members value these opportunities to share ideas and make some face-to-face connections when we attended the Lakes Hospitality Show earlier in the year. Throughout the day we caught up with over 20 existing FSB members, talked strategy and policy with colleagues from local government and other support organisations and welcomed nearly 30 new businesses into the FSB family.

We look forward to seeing you soon at a future event.
