FSB Women in Business Networking

For Lancashire & Cumbria women who run their own business will come together on Wednesday 8 May at 12:30pm. Within this dynamic environment, we adopt a proactive and solution-oriented approach to finding strategies for overcoming these challenges and offering mutual support. Guest speaker is Alison Blackler presenting on ‘overcoming yourself as a barrier to progress.’ Book now.


Climate and Carbon Literacy training

Cumbria Action for Sustainability are inviting businesses from across Westmorland & Furness area to a two-day training course on Thursday 9 May and Thursday 16 May. Titled ‘Climate and Carbon Literacy’, this course is part funded by the UK Government, attendees will gain full accreditation once completed the two online sessions and coursework pieces. Westmorland & Furness Green Grants

The Green Enterprise Hub grant programme is re-opening for a limited period of 2 weeks, from Monday 13th May until Friday 24th May, to enable the remaining grants to be allocated. Grants are available to support the installation or implementation of carbon reduction practices. Read more here.


Understanding the new Customs Declaration Service (CDS) 

From DBT / UK Export Academy on Monday 13 May 10:00am to 11:00am join HMRC who will guide you through the changes and how they will affect your business. You will learn all you need to know about how to move to, test in and use the CDS for exports before the current Customs Handling Imports and Export Freight (CHIEF) platform closes on 4 June. Register now.


FSB Bootcamp : Sales & Marketing

Cumberland Council are inviting local people and businesses to share their views on the draft Climate and Nature Strategy. You can halp shape tis first strategy, which has been drawn from the Council Plan priorities and previous work. Closing date is Monday 20 May.
