Inspiring talks, networking and awards presentations all on offer at free-to-attend FSB business show

Six great speakers – along with the official crowning of the South West’s best small businesses - have all been lined up for local SMEs to enjoy when we stage our free-to-attend business ‘Bootcamp’ in March.

FSB will be hosting two of our popular ‘Bootcamps’ in the South West for the first time ever this spring with hundreds of small business owners from across the region expected to attend.

The first event will take place at The Future Skills Centre in Exeter on Wednesday, March 13 from 9.30am-2.30pm and one of the highlights will be the unveiling of the winning SMEs and sole traders from all across the whole South West who have been entering the FSB Small Business Awards across 12 very competitive categories since the turn of the year.

The award winners will take to the stage after a series of top-class local speakers – Jonathan Keable, Scott Grenney, Becky Craven, Susanna Boccaccio and Sarah Wrixon - who between them will offer advice, support and ideas about issues including business growth, innovation, social media and how to make the best use of both photography and video to boost business profiles.

And, ahead of a free networking lunch, there will also be a helpful guide on how improve your business networking skills by Jon Iacomino from the experienced team at Your Partnerships Ltd.

The event is themed ‘Make Your Business Soar’ and is open to FSB members and non-members alike and promises to be a day full of practical business ideas and a great opportunity to improve and develop South West SME networks and connections.

"We are so pleased with the range, variety and quality of the speakers on offer and we are convinced there will be something for everyone during a hectic day at a truly fabulous venue. And, having the chance to see some of the business owners who have been crowned as the ‘best in the West’ via our unrivalled awards programme is an extra bonus for us all and will reflect the truly aspirational nature of our ‘Bootcamp’ meeting,” said Devon FSB Development Manager Carmen Hanif.

Tickets for the event are limited so anyone interested should sign up as soon as possible here. There are also some limited spaces available for anyone what wants to secure a stand at the show at the reduced rate of £100 – with a 25% discount for FSB members. Booking for a space can be made here.

For those unable to attend the first event, a second FSB South West Bootcamp takes place on Wednesday, April 24 at the Army Flying Museum on the Wiltshire/Hampshire border. For information on that please visit here.
