Solinatra was founded by Simon Girdlestone and his business partners after a career working in the plastic packaging industry. Recognising that change was required, Simon set out to search for an alternative to plastic. Solinatra is a compostable, natural and plant-based material that replaces single-use plastics like disposable cutlery and coffee capsules.
“We developed Solinatra in response to the global issues of plastic waste and plastic pollution. We set out to develop a new material that satisfies the demands of manufacturers and brands, without compromising on sustainability. Solinatra is the result of years of research and development, and our innovative patented processes have led the way to us creating a portfolio of material blends,” said Simon.
