FSB charity bike ride to help children's charity The Rainbow Trust

A charity bike ride between Blackpool and London later this month will see fundraisers make their first pit-stop on March 20 in Bolton.

The group, which will be led by FSB board member Ian O’Donnell, as well as North West Regional Chair Chris Manka, will then set off bound for the FSB’s Westminster office, but with several more route stops planned along the way.

It is hoped the charity fundraiser, which will take three days, will raise funds for the children’s charity, the Rainbow Trust – FSB’s National Chairman's chosen charity of the year.

Supporting the initiative, Greater Manchester Cycling Czar, Sir Chris Boardman, said: “Travelling by bike is fantastic way to keep fit and I wish everyone at FSB taking part well.”

Bolton businessman, Phil Thompson, FSB Area Lead for GM, said: “I will be attending on the day to cheer the team on. This is a very worthwhile cause. Rainbow Trust supports families who have a child aged 0-18 years with a life threatening or terminal illness and need bespoke support.”
