Following the announcement that the UK economy contracted by 0.2% between July and September, the Federation of Small Business’ (FSB) Scotland Policy Chair Andrew McRae commented:

With 6 months remaining until the rollout of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has reiterated its call for the Scottish Government to either pause or pare back elements of the scheme.

In 2023, Glasgow became the first of four cities in Scotland to enforce a Low Emission Zone (LEZ). Enforcement in Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh will take effect from 30 May 2024. The conditions of the LEZ will apply to businesses located inside the zone, as well as anyone visiting it.
