Iwona, founder of rehabilitation experts TRTrehab, has been a finalist at the FSB Yorkshire & The Humber Awards in both 2022 & 2023 was over the moon to receive her hamper. The business was nearly an early casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic but hard work and perseverance meant that they survived and are now providing a range of rehabilitation services in Shipton-by -Beningbrough, north of York.

Iwona’s mission is to help people recover, through fitness, massage and rehabilitation exercises as well as group training and walking. Along with business partner Marie Elcock the operation has successfully transitioned from the online and video sessions, motivational social media entertainment and weekly podcasts to provide in-person treatments from their bespoke facilities.

TRTrehab were recently recipients of the York Mix Radio Best Small Gym Award. Iwona commented “[It’s been an amazing journey] from being told I will never work again 12 years ago, while critically ill in hospital bed to running my own health business and winning the best Award”.
