Stress Awareness Month 2024 – ‘Little by Little’

Local News 29 Apr 2024

Stress Awareness Month has been held every April, since 1992 to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures. It provides an opportunity to shine a light on stress, the causes, symptoms, and the best practices for managing it.

This year’s theme is ‘Little by Little’ highlighting the transformative impact of consistent, small positive actions on overall wellbeing.

By making manageable adjustments to your daily routine, however small, can have a positive effect on mental health with an everyday focus on self-care and stress reduction.

Our FSB members who volunteer their time to support small businesses through our Health and  Wellbeing policy work in the Greater London region and via the monthly FSB National events programme share here their approach, thoughts and words in recognition of this year’s Stress Awareness Month:

April marks Stress Awareness Month, highlighting the crucial need to prioritise mental health. Let's stay proactive in maintaining our well-being and recognising when to seek support. Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Let's commit to practicing self-care and fostering a supportive environment for ourselves and those around us.

Think harmony and embrace self-care: As we navigate life's challenges, it's easy to overlook our well-being. Let's prioritise self-care this Stress Awareness Month. Recognize triggers, reshape reactions, and cultivate resilience. Remember, taking care of yourself is not selfish—it's essential.
