New Loan and Investment Fund for the South West

Local News 10 Jul 2023

In July a new £200 million fund was launched to support businesses across the South West by the British Business Bank.

This fund is designed to expand the funding options available to businesses across the region and small businesses with plans to start up or grow are encouraged to apply. The fund is split into three different pots under the South west Investment Fund banner. The first is smaller loans from £25,000 to £100,000. These are unsecured and at a fixed rate for 1-5 years. The second is larger loans from £100,000 to £2 million for businesses looking to grow. The final pot will offer equity finance of up to £5 million for businesses with ambitious growth plans.

Various financial institutions have been chosen by the British Business Bank to manage these three areas and all have locally based fund managers who are keen to work with our small business community across the region. If you’d like to find out more about this fund then more details are available here.
