The resounding message from this session was that you need to have a game plan of how you approach the run up to a networking session and how you will follow up afterwards as these are just as important as the session itself. If you simply turn up and do your pitch and then never engage again you can’t expect people to feel confident to recommend you. Successful networking is all about building relationships and supporting your contacts so that they feel confident to do the same for you.
