Boost your productivity with an active working day

Keeping moving through a working day is vital to the wellbeing of individuals.

National Fitness Day 2021 will take place on Wednesday 22nd September and is an opportunity to highlight the benefits of physical activity in everyday life.

A 2016 Lancet study showed that spending eight hours a day sat at a desk increases the chance of early death from diseases such as cancer and heart disease by 60%.

UK guidelines  state that adults should aim for 150 minutes of exercise per week. The good news is that any activity counts, whether that's a lunchtime walk, walking around the room while taking a call or a few trips up and down the stairs while the kettle boils, every minute counts.

We have worked with ukactive to create a document that you can use to help yourself and your employees incorporate activity into your working day. With prompts, templates and links to free indoor workouts it's the perfect way to encourage moving more and sitting less.
