Armagh City, Banbrige and Craigavon Borough Council: Covid Recovery Small Settlements Regeneration Business Grants

Local News 19 Apr 2024

The third call for the Small Settlements Business Grants is now open.

Armagh City, Banbrige and Craigavon Borough Council secured funding from the Department of Communities (DfC), Department for Infrastructure (DfI) and Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) to deliver a Covid Recovery Small Settlements Regeneration Project. This project includes environmental improvement schemes, active travel measures, a markets strategy and the business grants. There have been two calls open to date for the business grants and it is likely that this third call will be the final call, as the business grants project comes to an end this year.

If you own, lease or rent a property in one of the 13 small settlements listed below, you have the opportunity to apply for a Covid Recovery Small Settlement Regeneration Business Grant. There are two grants available in this call:

Small Settlements - Commercial Facades, for improving the facades of properties, which provides grants of up to £3,000.

Small Settlements - Reconfiguring Space, for the internal change of space, and can include the exterior façade, which provides grants of up to £20,000.  (This grant was previously known as ‘Small Settlements - Meanwhile Use’).

The Small Settlements Business Grants are limited to properties located within the town centre boundaries of one of the designated 13 small settlements included in the Covid Recovery Small Settlements Regeneration Project, namely Aghagallon, Bleary, Gilford, Dollingstown, Donaghcloney, Keady, Laurelvale / Mullavilly, Magheralin, Markethill, Rathfriland, Richhill, Tandragee and Waringstown.

Applications must be made on-line via Council’s new Grant Management system, available here: https://funding.armaghbanbridgecraigavon.gov.uk  Use this link to register, find out more about the grants and to make your application.

Deadline for applications is 12.00pm on 25 May 2024.
