Chuka Umunna and John Longworth face off in FSB EU referendum debate

Date of event: Monday 13 June 2016

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is excited to announce an impressive line-up of business and political speakers from Britain Stronger in Europe and Vote Leave for our upcoming national EU Referendum debate on Monday 13 June 2016. This event is being held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, Westminster, London SW1P 3EE.

Moderated by BBC presenter, Polly Evans, the debate will include official spokespeople from each campaign group:

  • Richard Reed, Deputy Chairman of Britain Stronger in Europe
  • John Longworth, Chairman of the Vote Leave Business Council
  • Chuka Umunna MP,  Britain Stronger in Europe
  • Kwasi Kwarteng MP, Vote Leave

Mike Cherry, FSB National Policy Director, said:There is no status quo - whatever the result, the decision on 23 June will see changes. Small business owners want to know more about what these mean for their business. FSB will continue to champion the voice of the UK’s 5.4 million small businesses and call for the clarity and information they need to make an informed decision.

“This debate is the last big moment in FSB’s EU referendum campaign helping to fill the information deficit. This work includes our podcast series, launched last week, and the letters sent to both campaign groups with our member’s top ten questions. We are asking the questions our members want answered and demanding clarity and more information from both campaign groups. FSB is helping members get all the information they need to help them make a decision on 23 June that is right for them and their business.”

Attendance is by invitation only.
