FSB Wales Blog - Who are the next generation of entrepreneurs?

It is that time of year again when students receive their GCSE and A Level results and think about their next move – whether that be continuing education or training, entering the workforce or even starting their own business.

So who are this next generation of entrepreneurs? And what will they mean for the Welsh economy?

Generation Z are those born in the year 2000 and afterwards. New research being undertaken on behalf of FSB Wales will look at the defining characteristics of this new generation, and how this will impact upon their entrepreneurial skills and choices, which will in turn influence the future of the Welsh economy.

Phil Swan is undertaking a PhD research project on this topic, and during FSB’s #GenZFortnight will highlight some key themes surrounding Generation Z and entrepreneurship such as digital technology as a disruptive resource, gender and how Generation Z differ from their predecessors: Baby Boomers, Generation X and Millennials.
