A webinar to explore the opportunity for SMEs in Northern Ireland to take part in the Queens University Belfast Summer Internship programme for Summer 2024.

Event details

If you are an SME based in Northern Ireland and want to know more about the QUB Summer Internships Programme and how you might benefit from an intern working within your organisation this Summer, then join us in this session to hear more about the programme.

Led by Mark Gallagher from QUB Careers, Employability & Skills Service, this introductory session will outline the benefits and how local small businesses can become involved. A key aim of the programme is to deliver valuable and impactful paid work experience opportunities, with a particular emphasis on student groups who are more likely to be under-represented in the graduate labour market, and who may not have the opportunity to carry out work experience as part of their course.

The benefit to SMEs include:
• Cost effective extra resource and a chance to evaluate a student for future employment
• Innovative ideas and fresh perspectives in the workplace
• Students bring new skills and knowledge of modern practices and technologies.
• Staff development through mentoring a student on placement.

If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, join our short online session for further information.
