Message from the NI Policy Chairman

"The Federation of Small Businesses is Northern Ireland's largest business organisation and is a non- party political campaigning pressure group that exists to promote and protect the interests of all who own and/or manage their own business.
The Northern Ireland Policy Unit was formed in 1998 as a direct response to the establishment of the Northern Ireland Assembly. Our aim is to provide a voice for the Small Business Community in Northern Ireland and to lobby Government and local political parties.
Its membership is elected from the FSB's 7000 members in Northern Ireland.
Policy Manager Carolyn Brown and George Dorrian, Policy Officer, are employed to support the work of the elected Policy Committee. Jonathan Walmsley, Public Affairs Officer is the first point of contact for media and political enquiries.
Our Press & Parliamentary Office in Royal Avenue was opened in 2005 as a one stop shop for all those interested in the FSB and its policy agenda.
Since the establishment of the APU, it has tackled issues as diverse as Small Business Rates Relief, Europe, Public Procurement policy, Business Crime, Business Support, Energy, Broadband, Fuel, Insurance, Review of Public Administration and Water Charges.
On this site you will find regular up-dates, new policy documents and our latest press releases" - Wilfred Mitchell OBE – Chair Northern Ireland APU
