Have your say on local policing priorities

John Campion, the new Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for West Mercia, has stated that he ‘intends to publish a plan that will start the journey to make communities in West Mercia safer’.

To gather views and evidence from as many local people as possible, he has published an on-line survey which asks, among other things, for opinions about cyber-crime, business crime and rural crime.

Your views are important and could help inform the development of the next Police and Crime Plan for West Mercia. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and is available here.

Small Biz 100 - applications now open

Small Business Saturday UK is a non-commercial campaign that highlights small business successes and encourages consumers to support small businesses in their community by ‘shopping local’.

In 2016 Small Business Saturday will take place on Saturday, December 3rd.

Meanwhile, 100 small businesses are being highlighted, one a day for the 100 days leading up to this date.  Last year the 100 received exposure in social media channels and in the local press.  They also joined the Small Business Saturday team in London at receptions in both Downing Street and The Treasury Drum with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne.

FSB encouraged members to take part and we enjoyed great success with no less than 27 of the 100 coming from our membership.

This year, applications are open until June 30th, 2016 and we are again encouraging members to put themselves forward.  You can find out more here
