Non-members will be able to attend our exhibition and local market between 9am-5.30pm in the Exhibition Hall. We find nothing more enjoyable than supporting small businesses, we’re giving some the chance to showcase their products and services, so bring plenty of spending money!

Fraser will share the incredible story of how he built SuperJam from his Grandmother's kitchen in Glasgow to the supermarket shelves and beyond. After learning her recipes at 14 years old, he started selling his homemade jam at farmers' markets and to small shops. After he came up with a way of creating jam completely from fruit, he managed to convince Waitrose to stock his products. Since then he has sold millions of jars through thousands of stores around the world.
He will share some of his ups and downs, lessons learned and highlights, which include seeing his brand entered into the National Museum of Scotland and his story made into a TV drama in Japan!
Scotland can’t succeed without small businesses, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will tell the Federation of Small Businesses’ (FSB) National Conference in Glasgow on Friday. Days after the UK Budget, the First Minister will address more than 1,200 small business owners at the business campaign group’s largest-ever event, being held at the city’s SECC.
Sharon White, Chief Executive of Ofcom, is a trained and highly respected economist. Before taking her position at Ofcom, Sharon had worked in the civil service and was the second Permanent Secretary at the Treasury, becoming responsible for overseeing public finances. Sharon is known for her coaching and mentoring of young female professionals, encouraging them to apply to more senior roles where possible. We hope this talk will bring a great deal of inspiration to conference.
