10 ideas for implementing sustainability in your business.

What a great way to end the week on a high, at our Friday morning Hampshire & Isle of Wight virtual networking – which happens every other week.

Today’s speaker between breakout sessions, was Paul Cawsey from www.organeco.ltd  talking about the drivers for sustainability and 10 simple things you can do in your business to be more sustainable.

  • Audit your business
  • Reduce waste / Reuse / Recycle
  • Use greener materials / chemicals
  • Reduce water use / utilise grey water / rainwater capture
  • Buy green energy
  • Install LED lighting / install energy efficient appliances
  • Talk to your supply chain regarding their environmental stance 
  • Buy locally wherever possible 
  • Walk / cycle / use public transport / electric vehicles / hybrid cars 
  • Developp a CSR strategy and shout about it! 

All in the space of one hour, we had two great breakout sessions in small groups where after introductions we discussed people’s favourite pieces of business advice and inspired by Paul, what we can do in our businesses to become more sustainable.
