FSB supports the goal of creating a well-developed circular and environmentally sustainable economy. Greater recycling by industrial and commercial users is essential in cutting our greenhouse gas emissions, and in shifting our economy to a more sustainable footing. Given their prominence, small businesses produce 85% of the non-household municipal waste in Northern Ireland. Therefore, the goal of a circular economy will not be realised without the strong consideration and buy-in of small businesses.
