FSB London Net Zero Roundtable Series: Your Countdown to COP26

Local News 27 Oct 2021

Climate action delivers benefits across London and the wider economy

Here at FSB London, we know that London’s small businesses want to do the right thing. Some are already taking action on climate change and seeing the benefits and opportunities it can bring whether it be helping to attract and retain staff, save money through efficiencies, improve the public’s view of your business and boost your brand value. Climate action also delivers benefits across London and the wider economy.

Friday, 22 October 2021, concluded the third and final webinar in our ‘FSB London Net Zero Roundtable Series: Your Countdown to COP26’.

Over the course of three consecutive weeks, we held three one hour webinars discussing:

  • Your Footprint – sharing top tips on how to shrink your carbon footprint
  • Your Pathways – hear from small businesses on their net zero journey
  • Your Support – helping you on the road to net zero beyond COP26

Organised in conjunction with volunteer, Sat Pillai, FSB London Environment Policy Lead (and new national FSB Chair of the Environment Policy Unit), the series promoted an opportunity to share knowledge, highlight challenges, discuss issues and help London’s small businesses.

We are delighted to be able to share here some big chunks of bitesize information from this series to help SMEs along on their net zero journey.

The first Roundtable - Your Footprint included guest speakers from FSB Policy Team, Greater London Authority (GLA), UK Power Networks and CircledUp.

Our second Roundtable – Your Pathways brought together a group of FSB London members keen to hear, learn and help each other about being a small business on the net zero pathway. Thank you to those who took part from Concept Vehicle Leasing, Harrison Design, Convoy Community, Revival Retro, Equality Edge and CircledUp.

The series concluded with our third Roundtable – Your Support included presentations from FSB Policy on our Net Zero Survey and Sustainability work plus Cross River Partnership  / GLA / Kingston University- Kingston Living Lab / BEIS - Clean Growth and Behaviour Change / London Councils / Goal 13 Impact Platform
