Advance Warning: Baker Street Two Way

Works to convert Baker Street and Gloucester Place to two-way traffic started on 24 July 2017 and are planned to continue until early 2019. Phase one is scheduled to be completed in December 2017. Phase two is due to start on 8 January and last until late May 2018. During this period, one lane in each direction will be closed along Marylebone Road, between the junctions with Balcombe Street and Baker Street. During peak hours, motorists can expect delays of at least 20 minutes on the approaches to the works. Chelsea travel update

DFE seek businesses to trial new work placement for young people

The Challenge is working with the Department for Education to pilot a new model for work placements, offering college students a meaningful 40-60 day work placement to test their technical skills in the workplace. DfE is looking for small businesses in London, Shrewsbury and Shropshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire in technical sectors, including digital and construction, to trial these placements. New West End Company are running free workshops as part of its consultation with local retailers and other businesses on the needs and how they can be met, within the proposals for the Transformation of Oxford Street.
