Mayor unveils plans to part-pedestrianise Oxford Street

A new consultation on the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street was launched on Monday 6 November and we want to hear your views on this so that FSB London can submit a response. However, it's also important that members submit their own views separately to ensure the business voice is heard as loudly as other groups. Any comments please to Denise Beedell by 1 December, so that we can put together our response before the consultation closes on 17 December.

Christmas changes from London Bridge Station

There will be major changes to rail services and significant closures from Saturday 23 December - Monday 1 January 2018, affecting rail services across London and the South East. Rate rise means more cost pressures on small firms

The Bank of England announcement of a 0.25 per cent increase in the Bank Rate to 0.5 per cent means yet more cost pressures for small firms as they battle spiralling prices and flagging consumer demand, said National Chairman Mike Cherry. FSB's Policy Director Martin McTague appeared on Sky News discussing the impact on small businesses.

Leading digital entrepreneur and cross-bench peer Martha Lane Foxhas joined forces with FSB to host a twitter chat on women in enterprise. Do you claim R&D tax credits?

HMRC is currently developing a digital form for small businesses to make their R&D tax credit claims. They are looking for small business that have made R&D claims in the past and would be prepared to spend an hour or two trialling the new form.
