North Wales Business goes extra mile to raise money for St David’s Hospice Care

The team behind family-run marketing and animation business Animated Technologies are undertaking a number of huge challenges in order to raise money for a local hospice that supported a loved one.

Animated Technologies, which was evolution of award-winning firm White Wabbit, was founded by husband and wife team Anna and Tom Burke. Tom is undertaking the fundraising mission alongside his brothers John and Henry in order to raise money for St David’s Hospice Care, in memory of their brother Ed who was cared for at the hospice before his death earlier this year.

The brothers will undertake a number of challenges which ultimately build up to the St David’s China Challenge 2020; a nine-day trekking adventure to conquer the twists, turns, steps and slopes of the Great Wall of China in support of St David's Hospice.

This September, Tom and his brother John will be undertaking the GO9k – a 9 kilometre, non-wetsuit swim around the Great Orme in Llandudno. They will start at Llandudno pier and end up at the West Shore in Llandudno where St David's Hospice is based. This is only the second time that the swim has been undertaken, with the first successful attempt taking place earlier this year.

The brothers are also planning to take part in Ironman Wales 2020, as well as instituting The Ed Burke Challenge Award 2020.
