Grants available to support local rural businesses

Fieldfare supports local rural businesses by awarding accessible grants for worthy projects. Fieldfare want to hear from you if you have a project idea that will create jobs and boost the local economy. The grants are available as part of Defra's Rural Development Programme for England and the Leader programme is the method of delivering funding to projects through local action groups, ensuring that individuals with local knowledge are involved in key decisions about how funds are spent- find out more here 

Winchester Business Grants scheme 2017-2018 now open to applications

Winchester City Council's Business Grant is for start-up (including those still in the initial start-up process) and micro-businesses (1 to 9 employees) within the Winchester District and is open for applications. A new business voice for Eastleigh

Eastleigh local business leaders representing GW Engineering, Peter Green, Lambert Brothers, KCC Packaging, National Westminster Bank and Eastleigh College, are working with Eastleigh Borough Council's Economic Development Team to identify how the Council can work with businesses to reinvigorate the local area. This new group aims to address issues impacting on the business community. Any local Eastleigh businesses wanting to become involved in this newly established group, or to find out more, can contact Chris Herbert (Senior Economic Development Officer for Eastleigh Borough Council).

Digital Skills Training for Business

Superfast Dorset's business broadband survey established that a fifth of Dorset's connected businesses need digital skills training. Digital Dorset is a Weymouth College initiative, backed by European and Dorset LEP funding, and offers businesses a free online digital marketing course for their staff, as well as a mobile apps course. North Dorset District Council has an Apprenticeship Grant Fund for the local area. The Government provides a grant scheme, Apprenticeship Grants for Employers and North Dorset District Council Grant Scheme is in addition to the Government scheme, so you can apply for both. Launch of 2017 Formations Company Entrepreneur Award for UK Start-ups

The Formations Company Entrepreneur Award is a business grant scheme created to encourage aspiring entrepreneurs in industry, across all sectors. The programme is open to entrepreneurs in the UK who have an idea for a start-up business. Applications are accepted from students and business enthusiasts across all sectors.
