Why Become A Social Business? Come and find out with FSB

Over a decade into the social media revolution it's time for us to stop seeing social media as something new and frivolous, the preserve of the marketing department or PR professionals. Not only must business now have a social media strategy, but it needs to be able to adapt to the changing habits and behaviours of society.

That's the view of top author and FSB's Corporate Communications Co-ordinator David Taylor who will give a presentation to small business owners in Edinburgh on why they should become a social business. David will take our audience through his six-step programme which is designed to help business owners create socially-adaptive businesses.

It isn't a straightforward process and it won't necessarily happen overnight, but it could ensure that the business is ahead of the competition.

Creating the Modern Social Business

The event is on Tuesday 28 June from 5 – 6.30pm at Codebase, Argyle House, 3 Lady Lawson Street, Edinburgh EH3 9DR

What better place for this topic to be discussed than the largest technology incubator in the UK and one of the fastest growing in Europe? Edinburgh based Codebase is constantly in the news with new initiatives aimed at driving investment into tech start-ups and improving digital skills for business.

FSB’s East of Scotland Regional Chairperson Janet Torley said: “We’re delighted to be hosting David at the end of June in Edinburgh for what promises to be a fascinating talk. Small business owners not only need to embrace social media these days, but they need a strategy to make sure it works for them. I look forward to meeting everyone on the 28th June.”

Places for this free-to-attend talk are open to FSB members and non-members alike. There's limited audience capacity, so if you are interested in how to grow your business through social media book your place now here.
