People, Places and Business Sub Groups - Local Enterprise Partnership

Devon and Somerset FSB have seats on all three of these sub groups for The Heart of the SW Local Enterprise Partnership and are now looking for members who would be interested in sitting on these boards.

Each of the sub groups has a specialism – the People group looks at the skills in the partnership area and how they can be enhanced.

The Place group considers the infrastructure and make-up of the area and looks at how that can be supported.

The Business group looks at those issues that affect business in the LEP area.

(Of course, all of these groups are interlinked).

FSB works for and on behalf of the members and you will be representing the views of FSB members, of which you will be briefed by our London based specialist Policy Team and the Development Managers for Somerset and Devon.

Requirements of the Role:

The following list gives you a guide to the commitment required, but we cannot be completely accurate at this stage.

  • Attendance at all of your group’s meetings.

Each group meets approximately 6 times per year, for 2-3 hours per meeting.  If you are unable to attend due to holiday/sickness etc. then your Development Manager would deputise.
