Students network with businesses to help close skills gap: Hartsdown Academy welcomed local business owners into their school this June for a ‘Skills 30:30’ event hosted by FSB and the Careers Enterprise Company. Paul Andrews, CEO of Jobs in Kent said, “A third of small businesses looking to recruit have faced skills shortages. Bosses tell us that they can’t find the right staff, or that young people may have the right certificates but the wrong attitude and skills.”
