When less than a year ago Surrey member Julianne Ponan, founder and MD of Creative Nature was named FSB Business Awards 2018 Overall Winner I am sure that Julianne didn’t expect to be invited to be keynote speaker at a long list of local and national events including the exclusive Leaders of the Future Conference, invited to open the London Stock Exchange at the beginning of a week’s trading and receive a visit to her offices from local MP and then Brexit Secretary, Dominic Raab.
Julianne has severe allergies to all nuts and some seeds and struggled to find healthy snack foods suitable to her nutritional needs. In 2012 she bought and realigned Creative Nature to become a brand of allergy-safe, superfood snack bars and baking mixes.
The 29-year-old CEO's products are stocked in a few thousand UK stores, including Asda, Co-op and Sainsbury's, plus online retailer Ocado. In 2017, Julianne successfully pitched on Dragon's Den at a valuation of around £300,000 but dramatically turned down the 25% offer 0f £75,000
One of the most exclusive lists is Forbes and in less than a year after winning FSB Business awards Julianne has joined the exclusive global Forbes 30 under 30 list.
Congratulations Julianne. We are proud to have you as a local FSB Member!
