FSB Legal Hub, the new online legal help and advice portal for FSB members, has been shortlisted for The Law Society of England and Wales Excellence in Technology Award.
The new online resource, which became available to FSB’s members in September, has been developed by FSB in partnership with LHS-elXtr to be an easily navigable, seamlessly designed site containing the most valuable legal information for small businesses and the self-employed. It is free to access for FSB members.
Including hundreds of legal documents, templates and guides across dozens of legal topics, the hub also has a special section for the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). GDPR which comes into effect in 2018, will affect the ways in which businesses are lawfully allowed to gather, hold and use personal data, and businesses are being urged to begin preparation now.
FSB members have automatic access to legal advice, including a 24 hour legal advice helpline operated by qualified solicitors and barristers from LHS Solicitors who offer commercial, tax, employment and health and safety law advice. The new online hub enhances the suite of legal benefits to FSB members.
The new FSB Legal Hub has been developed to lead the way in which law firms are increasingly using technology to improve their efficiency and deliver legal services in new ways. The Law Society Excellence in Technology Award celebrates the innovative marriage of technology in delivering services for clients. The judges will be looking for law firms that have changed how they work and/or how they provide services to clients.
"To be shortlisted for the Excellence Awards is an achievement to be proud of," said Law Society president Joe Egan.
