The Kickstart scheme is a £2billion fund designed to create hundreds of thousands of high quality, 6-month work placements for young people aged 16-24. The UK Government will fund 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours per week, plus associated employer National Insurance contributions and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions.
This means that any business of any size and operating in any sector who is looking to create quality jobs for young people can apply to create new 6-month job placements and support the next generation through the early stages of their career.
The UK government scheme refers to companies needing to offer 30 placements but that smaller companies can group together to meet the minimum requirement. FSB has been appointed by the UK Government as Gateway with Adecco working in partnership as Intermediary. This webinar will explain how the Kickstart Scheme works and how to apply. Please note, the FSB/Adecco Gateway is open to all eligible businesses and not just FSB members.
In addition there is a £1.6 billion investment in boosting worksearch, skills and apprenticeships.
