South West Green Events - Sustainable Travel & Transport

Our next FSB South West Green Business Event – once again featuring our fantastic hosts, Edward Chapman and David Scott – will be  looking at the key issue of Travel and Transport (and how to be more green about getting from A-Z). The session is again virtual and is on Thursday 23rd June from 11 -12 am.

You’ll get the chance to hear from three speakers and then there will be time for you to ask questions.

Firstly we will hear from ARCO2

our #SB South West Environmental/Sustainability Award winners.  ARCO2 are sustainable architects who are based in Cornwall. However, the finals for the FSB Awards were in Glasgow and we will talk to them about the discussions they had on getting to Glasgow in a sustainable way – and if they actually made the journey in the end. You can read about them here.

We then talk to James Cox

from Bristol Airport about how the South West’s biggest airport is going to deliver a sustainable future for aviation. Bristol says that this is at the heart of its environmental approach. We will explore how the airport plans to grow while minimising the environmental impact. You can see more about Bristol’s sustainable ambitions here.

Finally,  we will hear from Peter Lefort

who works at Exeter University who will look at Carbon Offsetting and why it’s not always the right solution and once Peter has finished it will be over to you for questions and thoughts.

We look forward to welcoming you on the day and please feel free to share this event with colleagues and contacts as it is open to FSB members and non-members alike.

Don’t miss this event, it’s an hour on a subject that is misunderstood by many…
