Towns are at the heart of the Welsh economy. They are centres for businesses, places for culture, socialising and delivering essential public services. More than 40% of the Welsh population live in towns of under 20,000 people. However, many Welsh towns are facing real challenges such as changed consumer habits, depopulation and poor infrastructure.
Join us, Chris Sutton MRICS, Director of Sutton Consulting and Nadeem Ahmad, Proprietor of retail store Jean Emporium and Chair of Rhyl Business Improvement District to help answer questions such as:
- What can we do to change the future of our towns over coming years and what are the priorities for Welsh businesses within our towns?
- If growing the economy means growing businesses within our towns, how do we do that?
- What are we learning from the impact of the current Coronavirus which can help change how we grow our towns in the future?
As part of FSB Wales’ Our Business is Wales campaign, we will be holding an interactive 'Virtual Town Hall’ to discuss these issues and get your input as to what can be done to grow your business and your community. You will have the chance to hear from experts on the issue and contribute directly to the discussion.
