Join the conversation with like-minded business people and hear about Swap Shops - putting the community and relationships back into doing business

Event details

We have a free to attend virtual networking morning for businesses across the D2N2 area. This is your opportunity to meet with other entrepreneurs, self-employed people and small business owners, to continue to network, collaborate and support each other.

We'll be hosted by Rachel Hayward, FSB Area Lead for Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and this month will hear about

Swap Shops - putting the community and relationships back into doing business.

The Derby and Notts Swap Shops are the latest revolution born during lockdown and created to offer a modern take on a retro classic rewired for small businesses and charities. Based on the multi coloured swap shop TV programme of the 70/80s, the two swap shops offer a free-to-use service and skills swapping platform to help small businesses and charities survive and thrive.  Hear from Lee Marples, co-founder of Derby Swap Shop and director of think3, who created the original Derby Swap Shop platform, and also Ruth Hawley from the Business & IP Centre Nottingham who is one of the champions leading on the Notts Swap Shop.

Attendees will each be given 30 seconds to introduce their business in a supportive, unpressured environment.

In addition, FSB representatives will be on hand to talk to you about ensuring you get the most from your FSB membership during this very difficult time.
