Join us for the Mansfield Town Film Festival Small Business Reception. This event will give small business creatives the chance to find out more about Mansfield’s inaugural film festival 2023 and network with like minded business owners.

Bringing together a stunning mix of film makers with a strong focus on diverse, working-class talent from across the country, and internationally, the Mansfield Town Film Festival will be three electric days of incredible short films shown in the beautiful Mansfield Palace Theatre -perfect for those with a love of film.

Featuring an array of short films, music videos, documentaries, and animation as well asinternational shorts, the first film festival offers three days of unique programming, entertainment, and fresh perspectives.

This event will give you the chance to hear from the Film Festival creator Jay Martin and sponsors, as well as see behind the scenes of Mansfield Palace Theatre.

Speaker

Jay Martin is a Nottinghamshire-based filmmaker, with an unparalleled passion for visual story telling. Jay began studying at the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies in September of 2015, from there he began to develop 'Catharsis', his directorial debut. The film was made over a year, in, and around the greater Nottinghamshire area, with the help of some of the most dedicated, and passionate creatives in the Midlands. In 2019, Jay launched pre-production for a political documentary-short, 'REDt'BLUE'. The film was released in 2022, following a sold out cinema premiere. In January of 2023 Jay launched Mansfield Town Film Festival, set to become the largest cultural event in the town, and the beginning of Mansfield's cultural renaissance, the festival was born of an ethos to promote diverse, working class talent from around the world.
