Event for small businesses in the West Midlands to understand and access the Help to Grow Management programme.  

The Help to Grow: Management programme is an Executive Development programme accredited by the Small Business Charter, with 1:1 business mentor support throughout. The 12-week practical curriculum has modules spanning financial management, strategies for growth and innovation, and approaches to digital adoption.

The course is 90% funded by the UK Government, and is aimed at supporting businesses to scale up as the country recovers from the pandemic.  If you have 5+ staff, you can take part at 90% government funded- £750 cost.

Eligibility for the programme is:

  • Been trading for over 1 year
  • Have 5-249 employees
  • Senior management with at least one direct reporting employee
  • Not a charity 

The Help to Grow: Management programme has been well received, and the FSB is asking Government to make it accessible to more small businesses (by decreasing the minimum number of staff and the cost to businesses from £750 to £250) as part of our latest report Open for Business. If you are interested but cannot currently access it, or want to find out more, please register for this informative session.

Speakers

This event will be hosted by FSB West Midlands Regional Chair Hollie Whittles and we will hear from Coventry University’s Help to Grow: Management project lead, FSB volunteer Ian O’Donnell who is involved in delivering the Coventry University course, and a small business leader who is currently taking part in the course.
