Interactive online networking

Event details

Friendly online networking where you can meet your local FSB team, fellow members of the FSB and visitors from the wider business community.

These are regular meetings, held on the last Tuesday each month and organised by local FSB members and business owners, Anthony Kingsley and Grace Graham.

Our speaker for September is Joyce Ong of MarketingTech. Joyce's talk is titeld Be more visible and searchable locally with Google.

More people than ever are now supporting local independent businesses. Learn how to be found by new, local customers at your doorstep.

Countless small businesses have benefited from the traffic Google has brought to their business through Google my Business (GMB) and local SEO. From restaurants, cafes, boutique shops to estate agents and law firms, GMB is one of the most cost effective ways to get free traffic and enquiries to your business.

If you have a physical location (shop, office, home address) where you meet your customers, you'll be leaving money on the table if you don't have a GMB account!

But setting up a GMB account is just the beginning. Joyce will be giving a few tips on what you can do yourself, as a business, if you’d like to be more searchable locally:

  • what to look out for when you set up your Google my Business page
  • easiest way to collect Google reviews

Events include breakout rooms, so that you can enjoy and benefit from plenty of business networking and enjoy some good conversations in smaller groups.

Although targeted at the Hackney area, all small businesses are welcome to attend and to strengthen their business across the region.

We also welcome non-FSB members, this is a great opportunity to bring a friend, colleague or business associate to accompany you, so they too can benefit.
