FSB is currently undergoing a transformation programme and reviewing the technology in all areas of our business, so there is an exciting variety of projects you will be working on such as Microservices, Web applications, SSO & security, SaaS & data integrations, 3rd party API’s, Business Intelligence, database development and mobile applications.
Joining a well-established development team located in Blackpool, you will contribute to FSB’s transformation journey. You will be involved in all stages of projects, helping to shape and innovate solutions for business problems.
This role is usually based in our Blackpool Office, however we are open to discussing flexible working and so invite applications from across the North West.
You will have solid technical skills in the core Microsoft technologies including C#, MVC, ASP.NET, Web API, SQL Server. You will be comfortable developing applications within Visual Studio within a variety of methodologies, and we will expect that you will be able to lead in development best practices including unit testing.
It is important you have experience developing secure web applications and web services, Microservices and database development. CRM concepts & experience would be a benefit, as would front end web development frameworks (React, Bootstrap, jQuery, HTML5), Business Intelligence, mobile or DBA experience.
The applicant must have:
- 3 years’ experience of developing in C# (ASP.NET, MVC, Web API etc) in a commercial environment
- Degree Calibre (achieved through formal qualification or equivalent organisational experience)
- Understanding of the full software life cycle
- MS SQL Server experience
- Secure Web Applications and/or API’s experience
- Unit testing
Experience in the following is not essential but would be advantageous:
- .Net Core
- Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Mobile application development
- Test automation
- BI/MI or Data Warehouses
