Alexis Lay has been appointed FSB Vice Chairman until the next AGM in April 2018.
Alexis has had a long and successful association with FSB. She and her husband, Norman, joined FSB in 1991 when they owned a fish and chip shop in North Wales. She has been a Branch Chair since joining and was a National Councillor and Conference Co-ordinator for two decades from 1993. She recently became Vice Chair of National Council.
She brings a wealth of business experience with her to her role as Vice Chairman as she runs a family business with her husband and two sons based in Liverpool called Lek Lubrication Engineering Ltd. She has helped build up the business, which supplies, fits, services and repairs lubrication systems for all types of industries, over twenty-five years.
Her knowledge and passion for small businesses as well as her hands on experience of running her own businesses means she is an excellent candidate for the position of National Vice Chairman. She takes over the role after the death of Sandra Dexter, who served FSB for over forty years.
