FSB is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join an existing in house development team.

Like all software developers you’ll have a solid background in documenting, writing, maintaining and releasing your code; but you’ll also be someone who enjoys the challenge of using new technologies and working with stakeholders to define solutions to problems where technology may provide some of the answer.  FSB is currently undergoing a transformation programme which is reviewing the technology in all areas of our business so there’s an exciting variety of projects you’ll be working on which may range from production and development of web applications, 3rd party data integrations, Business Intelligence, database development to working on mobile applications.

You’ll obviously have solid technical skills in the core Microsoft centric technologies we use including C#, MVC, ASP.NET, Web API, SQL Server, SSRS.  You’ll be comfortable developing applications within a Microsoft environment, using Agile methodologies and we’ll expect that you’ll be comfortable in Visual Studio, TFS and adhering to Microsoft’s Development best practices.  It’s important you have experience developing secure web applications and web services, with Microservices and 3rd party integrations a bonus.   The team also support a CRM application so exposure to CRM concepts would be a benefit, as would experience of front end web development frameworks (bootstrap, jQuery, HTML5), Business Intelligence, previous mobile experience or DBA work.

As experts in business, we offer our members a wide range of vital business services, including advice, financial expertise, support and a powerful voice in government. Our aim is to help smaller businesses achieve their ambitions.

Established over 40 years ago to help our members succeed in business, we are a non-profit making organisation that’s run by members, for members.

Members get an exclusive package of great value business services including advice, financial products and support. These cover a wide range of benefits such as tax, legal and HR, local network groups, business banking and mentoring.

We don’t only provide fantastic membership benefits - FSB is also the UK’s leading business campaigner, focused on delivering change which supports smaller businesses to grow and succeed.
