HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION - HEAD OFFICE - BLACKPOOL

 

The Role:

We seek to appoint a Head of Administration to be based at our Head Office in Blackpool. The Head of Administration will work closely with the Honorary National Secretary – the member responsible for the management of the company secretarial function. This role also provides strategic leadership to ensure the communication and delivery of a consistent, co-ordinated and professional administration service to the members of the FSB, assists in raising the FSB profile and creates an environment where the retention of members is enhanced through efficient delivery of its activities. Responsibilities include the provision of advice and support to the Procedures Committee Chairman and attending meetings of the Procedures Committee; overseeing compliance with Health & Safety legislation; lead, manage, motivate and coach the administrative staff team; manage project assignments commissioned by company directors and build and maintain positive relationships with members and employees. The position reports to the Head of Operations and Honorary National Secretary and has four direct reports based in Blackpool and London.

 

The Candidate

Ideal candidates will be graduates and preferably ICSA part or fully qualified. They will have had significant corporate exposure in business administration, have managed staff in major functions, and produced minutes for boards of directors. They will have excellent communication, motivational and negotiating skills at all levels; have the ability to prioritise a conflicting workload efficiently and be computer literate. They must also be able to work unsocial hours, work independently and be prepared for the occasional overnight stays.
