Financial Reporting Manager

Head Office, Blackpool
£45,000 + benefits
 
We are seeking to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager to govern the production of timely, accurate and informative accounting for the management of the FSB and its subsidiaries. This role will work as part of the Finance department management team and will maintain compliance with the FSB's accounting policies and drive improvements throughout the department.

Key Areas of Accountability:
  • Produce timely, relevant and insightful analysis both proactively and in response to business requests
  • To produce business specific forecasts with insightful commentary to help inform business decisions
  • To oversee the production and distribution of the management accounts on a monthly basis
  • To effectively manage two Assistant Management Accountants 


The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and will be ACA/ACCA qualified. They will have recent and relevant experience working in medium to large finance departments and will have successfully managed and implemented process and procedural change.

Financial Transaction Manager

We are seeking to recruit a Financial Transaction Manager to lead and manage the delivery of an efficient, effective and economic financial transaction processing service for the FSB and its subsidiary companies. This role will manage a team of Accounts Officers to provide an effective sales ledger, cash book and purchase ledger service.

Key Areas of Accountability:
  • To ensure accurate and timely cash flow forecasting is produced to ensure the organisation can manage its cash resourcing in the most effective way
  • Take a lead role in the governance of financial risk by managing the FSB banking and cash flow
  • Ensure service provider income is received in line with contractual terms maintaining a full audit trail at all times
  • Ensure the timely collection of debtors and timely payment of creditors


The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, with AAT or similar qualification. They will have experience of leading a finance processing team and will possess strong communication and influencing skills.

Assistant Management Accountant

Head Office, Blackpool

£25,000 + benefits


We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to support the Financial Reporting Manager in providing an effective and efficient accounting service for the FSB and its subsidiaries.


Key Areas of Accountability:

  • To calculate and post accruals and prepayments for all companies
  • To promptly and efficiently deal with complex accounting queries from budget holders
  • To complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all reconciling items are actioned and resolved effectively
  • To assist with the production of annual budgets


The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified and CIMA part qualified/qualified by experience. They will have experience in the production of statutory and management accounts, as well as quarterly and annual VAT and corporation tax return. They will be willing to learn and adopt new procedures, and will have a high level of numeracy skill.

Appointment Maker

So you're a great all round sales person, having developed your skills perhaps in the retail or hospitality sector, but have you thought about developing your skills to include telephone based Business to Business Sales? Of course you may already be an experienced telephone sales professional? If so read on…. We are the UK's largest business representative organisation, campaigning to promote and protect the interests of the self-employed and owners of small businesses and we currently have several exciting new opportunities in our brand new contact centre based in Blackpool.
 
We are looking to recruit a number of sales professionals to set up appointments for our field based sales team. 
 
The Challenge:

• Make outbound telephone calls to secure appointments for our field sales team focusing on the recruitment of new members.
• Booking of appointments over the telephone with key decision makers and to provide support to prospective members who apply on line.
• Respond to needs identified on the call, and maximise sales opportunities, most of which will be focused on either booking an appointment or completing a membership.
• Ability to handle sales calls with both warm and cold data and customer service calls.
 
The Ideal Candidate:

• You must have experience working within a sales environment which could be a contact centre but might equally be retail, hospitality etc
• You will have experience of working to targets and KPI's.
• You must be resilient and have the strength of character to persevere even on those tough days.
