Adjusting for Better Business
Every business knows that people are key to success, but what if you’re turning customers and staff away without even knowing it. Adjusting for Better Business is a new campaign designed to help small businesses become more accessible to disabled people.
From providing clear signs to offering chairs for queuing customers or considering flexible hours for a member of staff, it’s about simple, affordable and reasonable adjustments that any business can make to help meet the needs of disabled people.
A jargon-free information pack gives straightforward information about the Disability Discrimination Act and looks at the changes many small businesses have already successfully made. It also provides a checklist to help businesses think about the different customers who might use their services and assess the changes that could make them more accessible.
