Report from the meeting that took place on Wednesday 16th November

‘Have your say and network evening'

The Three Mariners Pub – Bagshot.

The first of these new events attracted 22 members and guests from a variety of local businesses and organisations. The evening was designed to introduce members to meet the local committee and to have their say about local and national issues.

Guest were asked to consider the key national and local issues and then, using their voting dots indicate which items were of most importance to them and their businesses.

Commenting on the event Charles Barbor Vice Chairman of the Woking Branch said ‘Everybody was engrossed in conversation for nearly 2 hours or more and seemed to find the evening very worthwhile. We were delighted with the level of engagement and all of the guests used their voting dots which will be of great help to us as we develop and activate our local lobbying programmes.

We want to maintain this level of contact and involvement and are all set for the next open meeting in the 18th January 2012. Feedback from the event can be found here.
