FSB Wales announces #10poundpledge campaign ahead of Small Business Saturday

With two months to go before Small Business Saturday, FSB Wales has announced that for the second year, people will be encouraged to take the #10poundpledge in order to support small businesses across Wales on 2nd December. As many people as possible are encouraged to pledge that they will spend at least £10 with a local business on Saturday 2nd December, to share this on social media and to nominate others in order to encourage them to take part.

Last year, many businesses, politicians and individuals took part in the campaign across every area of Wales. This year, FSB Wales aims for the campaign to be bigger than ever.

Janet Jones, FSB Wales Policy Unit Chair, said:

“Small businesses play an important role in their communities. They ensure that our high streets are sustained, that we have a vibrant and diverse local economy and offer local produce and services across Wales. At FSB Wales, we are always thrilled to highlight the important role of small businesses and Small Business Saturday is especially important. On the 2nd December this year, we will be encouraging as many people as possible to take part and spend £10 with a local business.

“The campaign last year was a huge success and we look forward to building on that this year.”
