Around the Burton, Lichfield and Tamworth Branch Area
This branch area includes the City of Lichfield and the towns of Burton-on-Trent, Brownhills, Rugeley, Swadlincote, Tamworth, Cannock and Uttoxeter.
The area covers a wide variety of industries; Burton is renowned for its brewing history and associated trades, Brownhills and Cannock for coal-mining, whereas rural enterprises and light engineering feature around Lichfield and Tamworth. The branch has an FSB membership in excess of 1300, with businesses from a wide range of sectors.
Recent Events and activities
The branch holds around six members' events per year, usually weekday evenings. Recent events include talks on Business leases, Social media for your business, Time Management, Employment Law, Networking skills etc...
The branch committee are also actively engaged with the local authorities in its area; East Staffs Council has signed up to the Small Business Accord, and members from the branch regularly attend the Tamworth and Lichfield Business Economic Partnership, feeding into the group the Small Business point of view!
Branch Committee Meetings
The branch currently meets at the Black Horse Public House, 2 Top Street, Appleby Magna, DE12 7AH. The meetings are held approximately once a month. Everyone is welcome however if you would like to come along to the next meeting please contact the branch secretary, Jenny Cartwright (contact details below), as numbers are needed for catering purposes.
